During the 20th century Lake Geneva has undergone a profound change. For centuries a means of transport and place of work,
the lake and its shores have now become a venue for leisure activities. The consequence of this evolution is that traditional industries, many types of boats and secular nautical traditions are likely to disappear forever. In order to preserve what remains, the Association Inheritance of Léman (APL) was founded on December 1, 1983. |
